Goatfish | Chivo

“Goatfish” (Pez Chivo) This original Gyotaku print is born directly from my own hands, from the ocean to the paper. I harvested this specimen myself while spearfishing, a practice that has allowed me to unlock an entirely new world of species for my art. The Goatfish is a non-commercial reef species, meaning it is absent from local markets and incredibly difficult to find. Known for the unique, whisker-like barbels under its chin, this elusive fish makes for a stunningly detailed print that captures a rare, hidden glimpse of our coastal ecosystem.
